About Laura

Finger Lakes, NY native, Laura Libby McCall, has stage experience in opera, oratorio and recital. Some of her more recent recitals have featured Scandinavian works by composers Sibelius, Frumerie, and Stenhammar. Laura’s virtual performance and lecture presentation of Sibelius’s Luonnotar earned her the Music Academic Award at Syracuse University Setnor School of Music in 2021.

Past performances include Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s missa brevis in F, Mozart’s Vesperae Solemnes de confessore, Gretel in Humperdink’s Hansel and Gretel, and soprano soloist in the Central New York debut of Dan Forrest’s Lux: The Dawn from on High.

Laura has sung with organizations including Syracuse Opera, MasterWorks Chorale of CNY, Tucson Chamber Artists, and Syracuse University Opera.

Laura resides in the Raleigh, NC area and is the soprano soloist at All Saints Anglican Church. Laura is also a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the National Opera Association (NOA).

As a teacher of voice, Laura makes it her mission to connect people through music and to cultivate an environment that allows each student to become their own original artist.
