Welcome to
Laura Libby McCall’s
Voice Studio: The Performance Space

Laura has taught private voice and music lessons for the past 15 years. After completing a bachelors in performance at a small private Christian university, (Roberts Wesleyan University) she went on to complete two masters degrees (Ithaca College and Syracuse University).

Music is essential because it brings people together.  As a performer, Laura prioritizes making musical choices which allow the text and meaning to ring through. As a teacher, Laura believes it is her job to equip students with these same set of skills.

Specific pedagogical focus in voice:
-breathing technique/breath control
-body awareness
-vowel formation
-articulation
-accuracy of music notation
-Song interpretation study (understanding the meaning of the text)
-Basic music theory skills (reading notation, intervals, key signatures etc)

For specialized vocal technique I require the student to be 16 and up. Any student under the age of 16, I teach a hybrid of voice/piano/general music.
